Sr. Pat Farrell, OSF, gave the final keynote address at the annual Leadership Conference of Women Religious assembly in Atlanta August 9-13.  Sister Pat is a past president of LCWR.

Sr. Pat shared her personal experience with contemplation and leadership. “There was no drama to my contemplative time and I seldom talked about it,” said Sister Pat. “It filled a deep hunger in me personally and seemed to enable me to respond to leadership challenges with some depth and creativity. In the silence and solitude something gradually expanded in me.  I was aware of a slowly-growing ability to be more compassionate, less reactive and judgmental.”
