April Events at the Canticle of Creation Center

The Canticle of Creation Center (CoCC), a pilot project of the Dubuque Franciscan Sisters, is hosting two programs in April:

April 23, 2019 – Every Day is Earth Day Movie Night: “Love Thy Nature” 6:30 p.m. What a better way to celebrate Earth Day this year than watching this marvelous documentary, narrated by Liam Neeson. Love Thy Nature points to how deeply we’ve lost touch with nature and takes viewers on a cinematic journey through the beauty and intimacy of our relationship with the natural world. The film shows that a renewed connection with nature is key both to our health and the health of our planet. Free will offering. Free popcorn.

April 27, 2019 – Goats On The Go, 10 a.m. The morning will start in the Canticle of Creation Center with a presentation on this eco-friendly alternative way of eradicating invasive species. Weather permitting this will be followed by a “Meet ‘n’ Greet” with these friendly creatures just outside the center! Free will offering.

For more information on these events, contact Sister Michelle Balek or Lisa Schmidt at (563) 583-9786 or email.
