The Sisters of St. Francis welcome Lisa Schmidt as a new member of the Charism Team. Lisa joined the group to share general responsibilities and in particular will work with two aspects of the Charism Team ministry. She will work together with Sister Marie Therese Kalb assisting with the Common Venture program and she will also work with Franciscan Associates.

Lisa says, “I am excited to be a part of the Charism Team. The Gospel values of the Franciscan Charism include poverty, humility or minority, contemplation, peacemaking, care of persons who are poor, and care of the earth. These are the values I hope to bring to my work.”

Lisa will continue to work at Wellness on Davis as a massage therapist. For the past four years she has been living in Okolona, Mississippi where she served as a volunteer coordinator, massage therapist, and plant manager at EXCEL Learning Center (Enrichment and Excellence through Community Educational Leadership.)
