Who are Franciscan Associates?

Franciscan Associates are women and men from all walks of life who share the values and spirit of St. Francis. Together they embrace the charism of St. Francis and St. Clare as they live the Gospel in their daily lives.

Associates make a commitment to integrate the Franciscan charism while remaining in their own lifestyle. They bond with the Sisters of St. Francis and each other in various ways: faith sharing, prayer, study, service and congregational celebrations.

Upcoming Events: Conference of Associates & Religious of the Midwest Area (CARMA) – April 29, 2017

Join us on Saturday, April 29, 2017, for the Conference of Associates & Religious of the Midwest Area at Best Western Plus Hotel in Dubuque.  This year’s theme will be, “Intimate Mission: from Charism Partners to Mutual Communion.”

Throughout history women and men have responded to God’s call to meet the particular needs of the culture and times.  Each movement of the Holy Spirit builds upon what comes before it and then transcends it, moving us to the next phase of the global and cosmic journey. Where is the movement of the Holy Spirit taking religious and associates now… at this time… in this culture?   The workshop, which runs from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., will explore the “creative space between” as we move from “they” to “we.”
