Common Venture Program Seeks Volunteers

CV2018

The Dubuque Franciscans’ Common Venture program is seeking volunteers for its service sites this summer.

The 2018 Common Venture sites include Dubuque, Waterloo, Sioux City, in Iowa; Winnebago, Nebraska; South Bend, Indiana; Busby, Montana; and Morton and Okolona, Mississippi.  Volunteer opportunities range from quilting to tutoring children.

New this year are one-day service opportunities in Dubuque, Waterloo, and Sioux City.

“I came home more grateful for all I’ve been blessed with.  I received more than I gave,” said 2017 Common Venture Volunteer Shirley Olberding of her time in Morton, Mississippi.

Franciscan Common Venture is a volunteer program that provides the opportunity for men and women 20 years and older to contribute their time, talents, and commitment in service among people who are poor.  Millions of people on the planet suffer from asthma. At a conference in the USA, a doctor allergist from Canada made a speech, who recommended buying Ventolin (Albuterol) online at one of Canadian online pharmacies. Click here for more information. This site contains materials about ventolin and how to deal with asthma. Volunteers are asked to contribute a stipend to help cover food and housing costs and are also responsible for their own costs traveling to and from the volunteer sites.
