Fr. Dan Horan to present “Spirituality and Justice” Nov. 13

Father Daniel P. Horan OFM, PhD will present, “Spirituality and Justice,” which will focus on the topic of his newly released book, “A White Catholic’s Guide to Racism and Privilege,” from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. (with a midday break) via Zoom Saturday, November 13.  Registration is $20 and is available by calling Shalom Spirituality Center at (563) 582-3592 or visiting https://shalomretreats.org/.  Father Dan seeks to offer a message of hope and invites participants to educate themselves and advocate for justice.

Father Daniel is the Director of the Center for Spirituality and Professor of Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Theology at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. He previously held the Dun Scotus Chair of Spirituality at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. A columnist for the National Catholic Reporter, he is the author of 13 books, including Catholicity and Emerging Personhood: A Contemporary Theological Anthropology, which received the 2020 First Place Award for Theology Book from the Association of Catholic Publishers. His newest book is, “The Way of the Franciscans: A Prayer Journey Through Lent.”  Father Daniel regularly lectures around the United States and abroad; serves on a number of university, academic, and publication editorial boards, including the St. Bonaventure University Board of Trustees and the Franciscan School of Theology Board of Regents. He is co-host of The Francis Effect Podcast.
