Sister Water Committee Unveils Speaker’s Bureau

Celebrating At A Pump InstallationWEB

The Sisters of St. Francis’ Sister Water Committee believes it’s important to educate the community on the importance of safe water and how serious the world’s water crisis is. To that end,
they are pleased to announce their Sister Water Speakers Bureau program, which offers, at no cost, presentations to school, civic organizations, or non-profit groups.

“It is our hope that by offering this speaker’s bureau we can share the Sister Water story and help raise awareness about water issues and water usage,” said Sr. Kathy Knipper.

The Sisters of St. Francis, with support from their associates, instituted the Sister Water Project in 2004 to bring safe water to villages in Tanzania and Honduras

As of March 2015, the Sister Water Project has completed/restored over 69 well projects in Tanzania and two water systems in Honduras.
