Associates and FWL Members Give Service in Ames

Dubuque Franciscan Associates and members of our Franciscan Way of Life program gathered at the Mustard Seed Farm  in Ames, Iowa, on September 2.

The Mustard Seed Community Farm is a Catholic Worker Farm dedicated to sustainable, simple living, love of our neighbor, and creating a community in which everyone can participate in growing and eating delicious, healthy, locally produced food.

“We cleaned garlic and onions, toured the grounds, ate a lovely lunch, and had a reflection time in the second half of the day to dive into creation’s lament,” said Franciscan Way of Life member Christine Guevara.
